MARCIE EDWARDS

Marcie L. Edwards has been General Manager of the City of Anaheim’s Public Utilities Department since January of 2001. She has approximately 30 years of utility industry experience, and previously held a variety of positions with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, including managerial oversight of electric operations and marketing, regulatory and media activities, transmission line construction and maintenance, meter reading, and customer billing.

Marcie co-authored a book titled Inside the Minds: The Energy and Utility Business: Energy Authorities on Conservation, Management, and Cost. She also won the 2006 Business Champion of the Year Award from the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce and was a past recipient of the Orange County Business Journal Annual Women in Business Award.

Marcie holds two degrees from the University of La Verne—a bachelor’s degree in organizational management and a master’s degree in public administration.
