Walter Schindler is a Managing Partner at Sail Venture Partners, LLC in Costa Mesa, CA, a national venture capital firm with offices in Southern California and Washington, D.C. SAIL invests primarily in early-stage companies in the Energy/Cleantech sector. Before that, he was the former Managing Partner of the former Managing Partner of the Orange County office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He founded SAIL’s predecessor partnership in 2000, and has served as interim Chairman and CEO of ORYXE Energy International. He is also He is the founder and Managing Partner of Odyssey Venture Partners, and a member of the Advisory Boards of US Bank, Cassandra Capital Partners, and The Genetic Institute of Anti-Aging. Schindler received his B.A. and PhD degrees from Yale and his law degree from Harvard University.
